It all began a long time ago when the baby was bouncing joyfully on your knee. You knew it would happen,  just didn’t realize it would happen so fast. Well somehow you’ve managed to supply excellent party ideas for all the steps made through school. But now the big one is approaching and your either fresh out of ideas or could use some help in your graduation party planning. Fret no longer, you have come to the right place at the right time.

In order to fail proof your graduation party planning you should get the graduate involved. It is no surprise that a party will be thrown, so there is no secret here. With the graduate helping with the party planning you will have the guest list practically created for you. All you need to do is add a few friends of your own and relatives, and the list is done.

The type of party you decide to have should be based on your budget. Don’t break the bank here, college is probably coming soon, so save where you can. It might be a good idea to involve some of your graduates families. In creating the party together you could do so much more. Think about the possibilities a few thousand dollars more could do. You could hire a band, DJ, or other type of live entertainment. Of course, if you don’t have a huge yard to play in, you may want to consider looking for venue possibilities. A large hall would work well or if the weather worked in your favor you could book an outdoor community pool. With the help of your grad’s families the duties you would have to rely on yourself for would diminish greatly.

So the first thing you need to do in planning graduation party is to have your grad choose the guest list. You don’t want to forget any of their close friends, especially if they are going to be leaving for college. The second thing you must do is consider the venue. If the party is going to be a home and your operating on a shoe string budget, make allowances towards the food and drink. Make sure you have enough to go around. Decorations are important, but you can do this cheaply at your local Wal-Mart.

If your grad would prefer keeping it simple you might want to make reservations at his/her favorite restaurant. This way the family could pitch in for the bill and take some of the burden away from you.

One thing to consider if you are preparing the food, do so in advance. I can’t stress this enough. You don’t want to have to run to the store with mere minutes to spare. Get all your shopping done ahead of time. Make a list, then add a little extra to be safe.

Whatever type of party you and your grad decide on be sure of one thing. This is a celebration in their honor. They have come a long way since the days of bouncing on your knee. Make the most of it and have a great time. Celebrate their life. They deserve it.

If you studied last week’s Gossip Girl episode, you know there’s strain brewing between S and B. Chuck attempts to be the voice of reason, but his pleas fall on deaf ears. ‘The Grandfather’ ( Part 2 ), adds some political drama to the social drama, and Serena and Blair prove they can’t be on their behaviour at important events.

Nate’s cousin, Tripp, is running for congress, but his campaign isn’t looking good. Nate advocates asking their grandfather for help, but Tripp wants a clean campaign. Lots of the action from this Gossip Girl episode occurs at the Vanderbilt election party.

Gossip Girl delves into the arena of upper-class privilege and wealth of prep faculty kids on Manhattan’s upper East Side — a world where secrets are hard to keep with the all-knowing Gossip Girl ( voiced by Kristen Bell ), a blogger with an unknown identity, following and recording their every move.

The upper East Side is thrown for a loop when Gossip Girl reports that Serena lorry der Woodsen ( Blake Lively ), Manhattan’s most scandalous party girl, has arrived back in the city after a mysterious absence where nobody knows where she was or why she left. Not even Serena’s closest pal, Blair Waldorf ( Leighton Meester ), knew her location and is shocked to learn Serena has returned. However , their once close friendship is complicated on Serena’s return, strained now that Serena is the middle of attention and Blair has been cast from the limelight, and the revelation that Serena had an affair with Blair’s husband Nate Archibald ( Chace Crawford ).

Also governing the higher East Side is Chuck Bass ( Ed Westwick ), son of the wealthy and potent Bart Bass and a buddy of Nate’s since childhood. Chuck leads a reckless life, which regularly leads Nate down a similar path of darkness and eradication.

finally there’s Dan Humphrey ( Penn Badgley ) and his sister Jenny ( Taylor Momsen ), middle-class youngsters on the outside looking in on the exclusive rich clique. Dan and Jenny are compelled to attend the high-school by their former rock star father, Rufus ( Matthew Settle ), who has a noisy past with Serena’s mother Lily lorry der Woodsen ( Kelly Rutherford ), a socialite with a secret past as a groupie. However, Dan and Serena’s worlds collide following a chance meeting where Dan quickly finds himself stepping out with the girl of his dreams. The closer they become, the more Dan learns about the genuine Serena and how different she is from the world in which she lives.

With all the ever-changing drama in the lives of the teenagers and adults alike, the ever-present Gossip Girl is always around to keep up on the complex and intriguing world.

Vanessa covers the backstage photos of the campaign and luckily gets photos of Tripp saving a stranger from drowning in the Hudson. Tripp’s campaign is saved! Coincidence? Nate thinks not, and Vanessa knows not. Will Nate sacrifice his friendship with Vanessa to save his cousin’s campaign? Nate has proved once that he puts family ahead of friends. His morals are at risk again, and Vanessa calls him on it.

Gossip Girl fans, I admit I’m warming up to the idea of Olivia being a Gossip Girl regular, though I don’t believe it’ll happen. Olivia makes appearance on Jimmy Fallon show and freaks out about Dan seeing it due to a humiliating story she tells. The Gossip Girl blasts are back, so will they blow her cover? Technology proves to not be on Olivia’s side, and Dan hurricanes out of a family board game marathon, much to Olivia’s dismay.

Do you want to host a boring party?  Of course not!  What can you do to make your party interesting and fun?

Many parties are very simple and largely unplanned. The host merely invites an assortment of people and supplies a lot of food and liquor. But parties can also be quite elaborate affairs.

Your party will be more interesting and fun if you put a little more thought and effort into it.  With some creativity, you can create a memorable splash without spending a lot of money.

Use your imagination to turn your party into a unique event. You can get lots of great creative ideas from magazines, television programs and books to help you plan interesting activities, food, and décor.

Don’t get too carried away–your focus should always be on creating a warm, enjoyable experience for your guests. You are not creating a theme park.

One of the easiest kinds of parties to host is a potluck party. In this type of party, you are not saddled with the overwhelming task of preparing all the food yourself.

You simply ask each person or couple to bring some food for all to share. You can be very organized in your requests, giving each person specific instructions as to what they should bring. Or you can simply let people bring anything they want, and hope that you don’t end up with ten jellied salads.

To be sure that there will be a substantial main dish, prepare it yourself. You can also ask one or two people to bring dishes you think would be especially popular.

Even if you are a very good cook, and prefer to do all the food preparation yourself, you will probably still benefit by asking a friend to help you get everything ready. You may want to start all your preparations one or two days in advance.

Before the party starts, be sure that the house is reasonably clean and that you have enough chairs, plates, cups and glasses for everyone. Be sure to have enough containers available for trash. Pick out some music selections that your guests will enjoy.

If you have never hosted a party before, you may feel quite nervous and worried about whether the party will be successful.

You will have much more fun at your own party if you let go of the idea that everything has to be perfect. Parties are not about perfection, they are about fun. Things that go wrong may seem disastrous at the time, but they may seem very funny later.

Try to be at the door to greet each of your guests as they arrive, and thank them for coming. Let them know where to put their coats. Tell them when and where the food will be served and show them the location of the bathroom. Introduce any new arrivals to the people who are already present.

When you introduce people to each other, briefly mention some points of interest about each person so they have something to begin talking about. For example you can say, “Fred, this is Ron Stevens, who is my boss at the bank where I work. Ron, I’d like to introduce my neighbor, Fred Lahrmann. Fred has just completed building an ultra-light plane in his back yard.”

If any of the people at your party seem to be especially shy, be sure to introduce them to others who will talk to them. If you notice someone who seems to be alone a lot throughout the evening, you can ask that person if they have been introduced to everyone at the party.

Sometimes people who are socially awkward will leap at the chance to help you with some party chores. You can ask them politely if they would be willing to take around a tray of appetizers to the guests, or help pick up empty glasses. Don’t force these duties on them. Give people a choice.

Try to get to each guest several times throughout the evening, and don’t play favorites, ignoring some, and monopolizing the time of others. If at all possible, try to speak to your guests as they are leaving and thank them for coming.

Who knows, you may enjoy hosting a party so much that you will do it again and again!

When you’re planning a party with your child for his birthday, consider going with an animal theme. It’s sure to be a hit. Need convincing? Here’s the top seven reasons why this is a great idea for your son or daughter’s celebration.

1. Kids love animals.  Just look at a the expression on a toddler’s face when they see a puppy or kitten in a pet store window. Or watch children’s reactions when they gaze at the different creatures at the zoo.  It’s easy to see that the little ones respond and relate to our furry friends.  If you’re looking for a party theme that is sure to please all your young guests, this one can’t miss.

It’s good for both boys and girls.  A birthday party with a fireman’s theme might thrill the little guys, but  the girls may not have as good a time.  The girls may love a princess party, but the boys might feel out of place.. 5. Supplies are easy to find. Every brick and mortar or online party store will have a large selection of items for this theme. If you’re looking for animal party invites, you’ll have a mind boggling choice, including photo invitations that feature your child’s picture.  Everything from decorations to stuff to put in the goodie bags will be readily available.  You’ll have lots of options, so it will be quick and easy to put together just the right elements for your child’s birthday celebration.

6. You can use it as an opportunity to teach conservation.  Have the party at a nearby zoo. Then steer the kids toward exhbits that focus on endangered species and what is being done to preserve these magnificient creatures. 

7. It’s fun!  Set the mood with face painting the kids to look like their favorite beast.  Have games like pin the trunk on the elephant. You could do a bean bag toss into the cut out mouth of a big lion head painted on poster board.  Hide little animal prizes all around the room and then send the little ones on safari to find them.  Quiz them on animal facts and reward the child with the most correct answers.  Or bring them all to a local farm to see cows, horses, pigs and chickens up close.

Whether you arrange for your teenage daughter and a few of her friends to take riding lessons at a stable, or have a house full of toddlers pretending to be tigers, an animal theme party will be a big success.  Run wild with this fun, inexpensive and easy idea and you’ll be sure to give your child a very happy birthday.
